Kennywood Ticket Sale
Kennywood tickets will go on sale Monday, April 27 at each school to students only. Tickets will also be on sale to the public at the field house that day from 8:30-12:00. Cost of the tickets are $26.00 per ticket / Cash Only!

TRAFFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL SPRING BAND CONCERT
Trafford Middle Band will perform their Spring Concert on Thursday, May 7th at 7:00 PM in the Trafford Middle School Auditorium. The concert will feature the middle school’s sixth grade band, seventh/eighth grade band, and the jazz band. The concert is open to the public.
The Annual Day of Giving
The Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation will be
participating on May 5, 2015.
We will participate in both
Westmoreland Gives (westmorelandgives.org)
and Pittsburgh Gives (pittsburghgives.org).

Young Writers Institute
Franklin Regional is proud to host the 2nd annual Writers of Westmoreland, Young Writers Institute in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh and The Western Pennsylvania Writing Project. The institute is open to students rising in grades 3 -12 and will run June 15 - June 19 from 9am-3pm. The Institute is open to students in all surrounding districts and communities throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties. Last year’s institute brought young writers out from 4 surrounding districts!

We are close to finishing our first full year of distributing backpacks to needy students in our district. Twice a month, about 82 backpacks were sent home as a weekend nutritional supplement. The families and students have been most appreciative of this additional resource.
The last backpack distribution for this school year will be May 15, 2015. We do worry though about these students’ food supply during the summer when school is not in session. The Backpack Committee has decided to try and send home a few boxes of food in May to help these families get through the summer months before school resumes in August. We have 55 families that will need these additional food boxes.
We are looking for groups or individuals to help sponsor a family for the summer.
The cost per family is about $46.00 with the option of enclosing a $10 gift card to Giant Eagle or Wal-Mart. We have a specific list of food items and they all can be purchased at Aldi’s. Thank you for your consideration.

The PT STEAM Academy
will inspire a passion using hands-on lessons designed to excite and engage the mind. Our summer camps provide the opportunity for children to explore the wonders of STEAM in a friendly, curious, and exciting atmosphere. From managing fun experiments to participating in mind-blowing activities, students will come away inspired.
Summer camps are open to all students enrolled in the Penn-Trafford School District. Pending on the specific camp, out of district students are permitted to enroll.
CLASS TIMES 8:30 - 12:00
All payments must be paid in full by the first scheduled day of camp. To receive a refund, a letter must be submitted stating the name and date of the camp. There will be no
refunds after the first day of camp.
Middle School camps are available to PT and Non-PT Students. Elementary camps are exclusively reserved for PT Students only. There is limited seating availability. The classes are on a first come first serve basis. Once camp seating has been filled students will be placed on a waiting list.
Complete the registration form below. Bring the completed form, along with payment (check or money order) to the school office or mail the necessary items to the address below. Check or money order for camps should be made payable to the PT Academy.
