2008-09 Kindergarten Information

Registration
The second period for registration of elementary school children who will enter the Penn-Trafford School District for the next school term (2008-2009) took place at each elementary school during the week of February 25-29. Parents may still register their children at the elementary schools between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Kindergarten entry for school year 2008-2009 requires the child to be five years of age on or before September 1, 2008. First grade entry for school year 2008-2009 requires the child to be six years of age on or before September 1, 2008. Children who are enrolled in district kindergarten classes this school term need not register for first grade next year.

You may register your youngster by calling the appropriate elementary school as listed below between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.

Information
The Kindergarten Fair (Orientation) will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Penn-Trafford High School cafeteria beginning at 6:30 pm.

Readiness Test
The Kindergarten Readiness Test will be given to all 2008-09 kindergarten students on June 4 and June 5, 2008. Parents will register for the testing prior to the kindergarten orientation program. Registration will be held at the entrance of the high school cafeteria on April 23, 2008 during the orientation session.
