Summer Music Lessons

Penn Middle School 2009 Summer Instrumental Music Program
A free summer band program will be offered to all band students starting on August 3, 2009!  I encourage all parents to have their children participate in this program.  All rehearsals will take place at PENN MIDDLE SCHOOL in the middle school auditorium.  The band rehearsals will be five days a week, for three weeks, starting on Monday, August 3rd and ending on Friday, August 21st.  If you will be out of town or unavailable to make it to some of the rehearsals, you are still more than welcome to join us on the dates that you can attend.  Students should bring their instruments and lesson books.  The grades listed below are next year’s grade levels.

MONDAYS:  August 3, 10, 17
TUESDAYS:  August 4, 11, 18
WEDNESDAYS: August 5, 12, 19
THURSDAYS: August 6, 13, 20
FRIDAYS: August 7, 14, 21

The schedule for EVERY rehearsal day will be as follows:
9:00   – 10:15 a.m. – 5TH GRADE BAND MEMBERS
10:15 – 11:30 a.m. – 6TH GRADE BAND MEMBERS
12:00 – 1:00 p.m. – 7TH & 8th GRADE BAND MEMBERS
1:00   – 2:00 p.m. – JAZZ BAND  (any 7th & 8th grade students who would like to play in the Jazz Band)
