COVID-19 Update

The Penn-Trafford School District is closely monitoring developments with the COVID-19 pandemic.  Updates will be posted here.

Westmoreland County - Substantial Level

(updated 10/23/20)  Once a week, the PA Department of Education publishes a list identifying the level of community transmission in each county over the most recent 7-day reporting period.  A county can be identified as either Low, Moderate, or Substantial. When a county is identified as Substantial for at least two weeks in a row, the recommendation by the PA Department of Ed is to have schools close and have all of the students become full-remote learners.  If Westmoreland County remains Substantial for a second week, Penn Trafford has decided to remain open in the same manner as we are currently operating.

Symptom Screening Tool

It is important for students and staff to administer the PTSD Symptom Screening Tool every day. If you are symptomatic or may have been in close contact with a positive case you need to stay home and contact the school nurse immediately.  Your cooperation with sharing information with our nurses and reporting any positive cases of COVID-19 within your family or close contacts is very important.
