This presentation focuses on the steps families should be taking to help students prepare for the transition from high school to college.  Though the material is intended for parents of juniors, parents of any age student are welcome to attend.


Please join us for our Penn Middle School Art Show! 
We hope that you join us in celebrating a great year in art from Penn Middle. All 7th graders will be represented in the show as well as most 8th graders. 

The exhibition will be held at The Latrobe Art Center in downtown Latrobe, PA. 

The artwork will be on display from Wednesday, April 1st - April 14th Feel free to visit the art center throughout these two weeks.

There will be a free reception on April 9th from 6pm-8pm for all students, friends, and families.

The show will be judged by a panel of artists. Awards will be given out in several categories! Also, on the evening of the reception, students will have the opportunity to make an art project.

Young Writers Institute
Franklin Regional is proud to host the 2nd annual Writers of Westmoreland, Young Writers Institute in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh and The Western Pennsylvania Writing Project. The institute is open to students rising in grades 3 -12 and will run June 15 - June 19 from 9am-3pm. The Institute is open to students in all surrounding districts and communities throughout Westmoreland and Allegheny Counties. Winter Guard International Richmond Regional Championship
The Penn- Trafford High School Concert Percussion Ensemble performed their show “Dystopia” at the Winter Guard International Richmond Regional Championship on Saturday, March 14th. The students, under the direction of Jason Goyda and Russ Rossi, became the Scholastic A Concert Percussion Regional Champions with a score of 83.30, the second highest score in their class throughout the country, behind only Tomball HS, from Tomball, TX.

The PT STEAM Academy will inspire a passion using hands-on lessons designed to excite and engage the mind. Our summer camps provide the opportunity for children to explore the wonders of STEAM in a friendly, curious, and exciting atmosphere. From managing fun experiments to participating in mind-blowing activities, students will come away inspired.

Summer camps are open to all students enrolled in the Penn-Trafford School District.  Pending on the specific camp, out of district students are permitted to enroll.

All payments must be paid in full by the first scheduled day of camp. To receive a refund, a letter must be submitted stating the name and date of the camp. There will be no refunds after the first day of camp.   

Middle School camps are available to PT and Non-PT Students. Elementary camps are exclusively reserved for PT Students only. There is limited seating availability. The classes are on a first come first serve basis. Once camp seating has been filled students will be placed on a waiting list.
