Penn-Trafford Holds Prom (5-10-21)

After a school year filled with restrictions and uncertainty due to the pandemic, Penn-Trafford's Class of 2021 got to experience a somewhat normal right-of-passage, the Prom.

The May 7th event was rebranded a ‘Senior Dinner’ due to the absence of dancing (because social distancing could not be enforced on a dance floor). But many of the traditional aspects of Prom remained - like formalwear (which included masks), the Grand March, and crowning of the King and Queen.

The Grand March began at 5:00 pm at Warrior Stadium and was open to the public (although spectators were required to maintain social distancing). All prom attendees were announced and then proceeded across the center field. The dinner was held at Antonelli’s Event Center in nearby Irwin.

The prom court consisted of six senior girls and six senior boys. Girls on the court were Brooke Banda, Elizabeth Cermak, Julia Hauck, Juliana Paliscak, Sydney Poziviak, and Maya Roman. The boys on the court were Tyler Campbell, Mason Cenci, Mason Frye, Nate Frye, Doug Seruga, and Chase Vecchio. To cap the evening, Maya Roman was crowned Queen and Tyler Campbell was crowned King.
