Mrs.Christoforetti, an art teacher at Trafford Elementary School took advantage of a beautiful, sunny afternoon to take her third-grade class outside for a nature study.
The objective of the lesson was to find an object in nature to draw. The students found trees, flowers, clouds, or other items to sketch. They began their study by drawing the stem of the plant or the basic component of the object. Next, leaves, petals or other larger details were added. Then they worked on the finer details. Upon returning indoors, the students added colors to their drawings.
