Students Use Art to Support Animal Shelter (5-18-21)

Fourth and fifth-grade Students at Trafford Elementary School recently studied the work of pop artists Dean Russo and Romero Britto. To complete the lesson, art teacher Mrs. Christoforetti had the students choose a rescue animal from Helping Hearts and Healing Tails Animal Rescue and create its portrait.

By holding an art show to display their work, the students and Mrs. Christoforetti raised $100 to donate to the nearby animal rescue in Stahlstown, PA.  “The students were so excited to learn how art can change the world and make it a better place,” noted Mrs. Christoforetti.
