Mr. Joe Pompilio, a third-grade teacher, recently added two collaborative whiteboard desks to his classroom at Sunrise Estates Elementary School. Funding for the desks was provided by DonorsChoose, a crowdfunding platform for teachers.
The desks allow students to use dry-erase markers to write directly on the surface. Students can then join into groups and see each other's work as well as be able to add their input or ideas to their peers' work.
“I have found that my students love to graffiti and work extra hard when they get to do their math work on their own desks, and this helps them collaborate with one another at a safe distance,” commented Mr. Pompilio. “These whiteboard tables will really help my students collaborate and work to reach their goals.”
