Penn Middle School students in Mr. Kymer's 7th-grade STEM class recently built Air Skimmers cut from cardstock. After assembly, the students tested their projects for efficiency by launching the skimmers with rubber bands fastened to the gym floor. Many traveled more than 40 feet.
Following the tests, students discussed how they used measurement in the construction of their Air Skimmers and why some of them performed better than others.
