Two Student Learning Assistants at Level Green Elementary School (Penn-Trafford School District) have introduced a twice-monthly crafting club for the students.
Mrs. Adasczik and Miss McNamara meet with K-2 students during the first week and grade 3-5 students during the third week of each month. 67 students participated in the October craft. In the K-2 group, the project was to make a bat from coffee filters, clothespins with googly eyes. The 3rd-5th graders made a scarecrow from popsicle sticks, construction paper, paper shreds, and gems.
The students enjoyed the activity and are already looking forward to next month’s craft.
