As part of an architecture project, students from the gifted programs at Penn-Trafford High, Penn Middle, and Trafford Middle Schools participated in a tour of a vacant building on Brinton Avenue in Trafford. The building is presently owned by Trafford Fire Company No 1.
Steve Perovich, a retired Trafford Middle School teacher, current Trafford Borough Council Member, and historian gave the students a tour of downtown Trafford explaining the town's history and present use of buildings. For the next phase of this project, the students will create a proposal for repurposing the building to meet the needs of the community. Students will build a scale model to present along with their ideas to community leaders in the spring.
