Mrs. Maria MacArthur received a grant for $269 in new books for her 2nd-grade classroom at Sunrise Estates Elementary School. The grant was made possible through DonorsChoose, a crowdfunding platform for teachers.
“I wanted to give my students more choices in the classroom; when they are given choices they are more eager and excited to learn,” commented Mrs. MacArthur. “The boys and girls were so excited to receive the new books and to start to read them right away.”
