New Flexible Seating Give Students Options

Mrs. Cerutti’s 1st-graders at Sunrise Estates Elementary School recently received a classroom upgrade thanks to a grant from DonorsChoose.  A flex-space floor table and four seats are now available for students to use during independent work times.

“Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make choices that work best for them,” explains Cerutti.  “Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them.”

Cerutti has already noticed that students are significantly more engaged in their work with the new seating.
