Student Art Is Larger Than Life

In Mrs. Chistoforetti’s art classes at Level Green Elementary School, students learned about the history of Mardi Gras as well as a creative technique called scraffito.  Each student made a Mardi Gras mask as well as a float-inspired large flower.  Next, they scratched through a surface layer of the paint to reveal a different color underneath.  Student Learning Assistant, Ms. McNamara, then assembled all the flowers into a larger-than-life installation that now adorns the school’s hallway.
