Ducklings Delight Students

Mrs. Caruso's first-grade students at Harrison Park Elementary School have thoroughly enjoyed a lesson on ducklings.  After learning about the life cycle of ducks and parts of an egg, the students had the hands-on opportunity to incubate duck eggs for 28 days, candle the eggs weekly, and keep track of the egg development.  Eleven ducklings hatched in early April and spent a week in the classroom.

The ducklings will live on the farm of Mrs. Kim Lantz, who provided the eggs and was a former teacher at Harrison Park.
