Penn-Trafford’s SADD Team Takes $10K Prize

The Penn-Trafford High School SADD team has been awarded $10,000 for its public service announcement video on the life-or-death topic of distracted driving.  The contest, called “2022 Pennsylvania Just Drive” was sponsored by the PA DUI Association and NJM Insurance Group.  Seventy schools across the state submitted videos sharing a message about the dangers of drunk or distracted driving, and Penn-Trafford was awarded second place for its submission.  The 30-second video was created by the Penn-Trafford students with the help of alumnus Ryan Mickey.

On Friday, April 22, Felicity Erni from the PA DUI Association and her ‘prize patrol’ dropped in on Penn-Trafford High School to present balloons, a plaque and a check for $10,000.  Mrs. Arzenti (SADD faculty advisor) plans to use the money for various programs that promote safe driving.
