Theo the Goldendoodle Visits McCullough

Haley Fiel, a California University of PA student who completed her student teaching at Penn-Trafford School District earlier this year, came back to PT in April with a very special guest - Theo the Goldendoodle.

Miss Fiel was observing how students reacted to the dog for a research project on whether dogs help to improve speech progress in children. She reached out to her cooperating teacher at Penn-Trafford, Mrs. Heather Colgan (a speech-language pathologist), who was happy to have Theo join her classes at McCullough Elementary School.  Haley found that in this instance Theo did improve speech progress and motivation, and the students enjoyed the extra company.
