Students Make Rangoli Art

In Mrs. Christoforetti’s art classes at Trafford Elementary School, the first-grade students learned about Rangoli designs during the month of May. Rangolis are special patterns made usually from rice flour and sugar along with materials such as cereals, seeds, grains, sand, or beads. The designs combine dots, lines, and flower shapes to create colorful art.  Mrs. Christoforetti's students used colored sand to create their own rangoli representing happiness and positivity.
