Young Inventors Compete

In early December, Penn-Trafford Middle School students competed in the Invention Convention which was held at Yough Middle school. Five individuals or groups from the Penn-Trafford School District placed in the top 5, qualifying to apply to the state-level competition.


Grade 8

2nd place - Riley Joyce and Sydney Mularski (Cartilage-Only Knee Replacement) 

4th place - Ava Ruane (Reusable Card Envelope) 


Grade 7

2nd place, tie - Elle LeJeune (Swim Goggles with Video and Audio Capabilities)

2nd place, tie - Grady Swartz (Bread Saver Reusable Bags)


Grade 6

5th place - Maddie Barton, Ezza Lapcevic, Cailtin Dolhi, and Amy Maust (Bug Be Gone Safe Door)
