Students Consider Becoming Engineers

A group of female students from Penn-Trafford High School participated in Westinghouse's Women in Engineering Day in mid-November.  While there, the students learned about different engineering disciplines, participated in experiments, and learned about engineering technology and how to solve problems.

Lauren Burkley, Ella Dindak, Sophia Green, Mackenzie Keenan, and Megan McCracken attended the event based on their interest in engineering careers.

The Westinghouse Women in Nuclear program aims their mission at empowering young women to join the sciences. The students left Westinghouse with a new perspective on careers in the engineering field.
