Students Enjoy Symphony Visit

The second-graders of Trafford Elementary School enjoyed the morning of May 9th at the Palace Theater in Greensburg.

Classroom teachers Mrs. Weismann and Mrs. Witek and music teacher Mrs. Thompson took the students to the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra to see a performance of Storm Chasers, a concert created by Artistic Director Daniel Meyer.  The orchestra performed Wagner’s “Flying Dutchman Overture,” Vivaldi’s “Winter,” Strauss’ “Thunder and Lightning Polka,” Beethoven’s “Pastoral Symphony No. 6,” and Ferdie Grofe’s “Grand Canyon Suite.”
