Chemo Bags Donated to Remember Beloved Teacher

In memory of Penn Middle School teacher Mrs. Jackie Landram, students and staff at the Penn-Trafford school collected items for “Chemo Bags,” which were then packed up and donated to patients of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Monroeville.

Landram passed away in 2022 after a battle with cancer, and the chemo bags were the latest project of the charity ‘Landram’s Light’ which was created by her colleagues to honor and remember Jackie’s generosity, positivity, and strength.  Fifty bags containing a blanket, lip balm, water bottle, hat, and other useful items were donated.

“Through this project we hope to continue to shine Jackie's light and teach our students to live with GRIT as she did,” commented friend and colleague Mrs. Kelly Podkul.
