First Graders Learn Shoe-Tying Skills

With funding through DonorsChoose, Mrs. Kelly’s first-grade class at Sunrise Elementary has taken a big step in learning how to tie their shoes.

Mrs. Kelly was able to acquire a variety of resources to support this important life skill. These included practice shoes designed for tying exercises, an instructional book about shoes, and small prizes to reward students who successfully learn the skill and join the classroom’s “Shoe Tying Club.”
