At Sunrise Elementary School, Mrs. Emilie Shogan challenged her fifth-grade students with a project exploring which types of candies created the most fizz when combined with different liquids, turning the classroom into a hands-on science lab of bubbling reactions and curious discoveries.
“Sour Patch Kids were the winning candy,” commented Mrs. Shogan. “After our lab, the students concluded that the citric acid in sour candy created the most bubbles when mixed with water and baking soda.”
