The Penn-Trafford High School counseling department welcomed admissions representatives from 15 colleges and universities on October 2, for its annual College Application Day. The event offered students a unique opportunity to apply to multiple institutions and, in some cases, receive an instant admission decision.
Approximately 75 students participated in this year’s College Application Day, meeting with college staff and exploring potential paths for their post-secondary education. The attending institutions included Carlow University, Duquesne University, Gannon University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Penn State Greater Allegheny, Penn West University, Point Park University, Robert Morris University, Saint Vincent College, Slippery Rock University, University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Thiel College, Washington & Jefferson College, and West Virginia University.
Counselors noted that events like College Application Day help students navigate the sometimes overwhelming college application process and give them a firsthand look at admissions requirements and campus opportunities.
