Level Green Elementary School has launched a new school-wide initiative, LG Cares, aimed at encouraging students to spread kindness and learn the importance of helping others. Each month, students will participate in a community outreach project designed to be simple, meaningful, and fun.
The first project kicked off in the fall with students creating thank-you cards for local first responders, including police officers, firefighters, and EMTs. The cards, which were created by students and families at home, were collected in a special “LG Cares Mailbox” and delivered to first responders to say thank you for their service to the community.
School leaders hope the program will inspire students to become thoughtful, compassionate citizens who recognize that even small actions can make a big difference.
