The Penn-Trafford School District is proud to announce a generous $5,000 donation from CNX Resources Corporation to help expand access to the District’s College in High School program.
This contribution will directly support students who may not otherwise be able to afford tuition for college-level courses offered through Penn-Trafford’s partnerships with local universities. The funding ensures that all students, regardless of financial circumstances, can take advantage of the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school.
“We are so grateful to CNX for their continued investment in the futures of our students,” said Dr. Tiffany Nix, Assistant Superintendent of Penn-Trafford School District. “This donation will open doors for students who dream of getting a head start on their college education but may face financial barriers. It truly exemplifies what community partnership looks like in action.”
Through Penn-Trafford’s College in High School program, students can earn credits from partnering institutions such as Seton Hill University, Westmoreland County Community College, and the University of Pittsburgh at a fraction of the traditional college cost. CNX’s generous donation will ensure that the benefits of these programs are accessible to all students, promoting equity and opportunity across the district.
