Sunrise Elementary Classroom Gets a Makeover

Mrs. Emilie Shogan’s fifth-grade classroom at Sunrise Elementary School recently received a makeover thanks to a DonorsChoose campaign.

The campaign funded a variety of additions, including a couch, jellyfish decor, science posters, and science-themed stickers. These items transformed the classroom into a more engaging and welcoming space for students.

The materials have sparked curiosity, encouraged collaboration, and helped students think like real scientists… asking questions, making observations, and drawing conclusions,” said Mrs. Shogan. “In addition to academic growth, the materials also support the students’ emotional well-being.”
