McCullough Grows Minds, One Book at a Time

As Penn-Trafford School District embarked on implementing the new Open Court Reading Curriculum, McCullough Elementary teacher Mrs. Teresa Jasiewicz created a DonorsChoose campaign to request new books - both fiction and nonfiction -  to support the six unit themes that her fifth-grade students are studying this school year.

“The students often browse our classroom library for additional books to help them with their reading goals,” commented Mrs. Jasiewicz.  “To be able to give them reading options that satisfy both their curiosity and comprehension enhancement is a win-win."
