Harrison Park Elementary School (Penn-Trafford School District) marked its 19th Annual American Spirit Week in mid-February 2026 with spirited events designed to promote patriotism.
A Penny Wars competition, along with a Principal of the Day activity, raised $3,378 for the Wounded Warrior Project. The school also conducted its annual Food Drive to support local food banks and the district’s Backpacks to Go Program.
Additional activities included a spirit day in which students dressed in red, white, and blue to earn tickets toward an American flag raffle
American Spirit Week was originally established by former second-grade teacher Greg Keefer, who passed away unexpectedly in 2020.
