Penn-Trafford Competes at VEX Tournament

The Penn-Trafford VEX Robotics Team delivered a strong performance at the Western Pennsylvania State VEX Championships, where they competed against 59 teams from across the western region of the state.

The competition, held on March 9, featured a round-robin qualifying format with teams competing in multiple matches to determine rankings before the elimination bracket. Penn-Trafford went undefeated in the qualifier, finishing with an 8–0 record.

Although the P.T. team didn’t reach the championship round, it earned recognition for its performance and design by receiving the Amaze Award. The award is presented to a high-performing, competitive team whose robot demonstrates consistent scoring ability and reliability during matches.

Students representing Penn-Trafford at the competition included Grant Alexander, Connor Baldwin, Zayn Carty, Lucas Fox, Cole O'Hern, and Evan Sadler.  “Their hard work and dedication were evident throughout the event,” commented teacher Mr. Eric Crompton.  “Earning the Amaze Award is a testament to the quality of their robot and the strength of their engineering process.”
