Latin American Cultural Center Hosts PT Students

Students from Penn-Trafford High School’s Spanish National Honor Society took a field trip in March, visiting the Latin American Cultural Center in Oakland, where students received a guided tour of the museum. During the visit, students learned about various aspects of Latin American culture, including its history, art, architecture, and music.

The tour also featured exhibits focused on Costa Rica, allowing students to explore the country’s history and biodiversity in greater detail.

Following the museum visit, students had lunch at El Campesino Mexican Restaurant, where they experienced authentic cuisine.

The trip was supported by a Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation (PTCEF) grant, which helped cover the cost of museum admission and bus transportation.

“Mrs. Stoup and I are so grateful to PTCEF for this opportunity to share this beautiful culture with our students,” commented Spanish teacher, Mrs. Desiree Alba.
