Inclement Weather Notice
School closings or delays are ordered primarily for the safety of the students. The following stations will be notified: KDKA, WTAE, WPXI. Whenever weather conditions suggest the possibility of delays or closings, parents/guardians should monitor these stations, the district website www.penntrafford.org, and/or ConnectEd messages for information. The decision will be made as early as possible. News stations will be notified by 6:30 a.m. whenever possible; the District website and/or Connect Ed messages will also be updated. The district will not be responsible if announcements are not posted by the news station.
The district will NOT be responsible if students report to school on days that school is closed. It is the individual’s responsibility to listen for such announcements and to know schools are closed.
